About me

Hello and welcome!

My name is Varda and I'm a CELTA-certified teacher, trained in effective, practical methods for teaching English. I’m fluent in three languages; and having lived in the UK for many years, I live and breathe English.

My teaching covers a variety of purposes, such as everyday English, business English, preparing for interviews, IELTS and TOEFL exams, and more.

I'm in love with the English language and I want to pass that love to you.

You can get in touch with me via the Contact Form
or email varda@so2speak.online.

Varda - CELTA-Certified English Teacher

My Story

Before becoming an ESL teacher, I had a varied career in IT and marketing consulting, which I enjoyed (though not as much as I love teaching and watching my students progress!). My professional experience means I’m well-versed in industry terminology and business communications, which is especially helpful for students who aim to study or work in an English-speaking environment.

I hold a B.A. in Social Sciences and an MSc in Marketing from King's College London, along with a diploma in Software Testing and qualifications in IT and project management. As you can tell, I’m passionate about learning, and I know what makes for an effective learning experience.

My teaching is fueled by a love for linguistics and communication, and I focus on making each lesson both enjoyable and relevant. I'm also fluent in Russian and Hebrew and have experience teaching those languages, which gives me a deeper understanding of language learning from both a student’s and teacher’s perspective.

I bring a wealth of professional and life experience to my lessons, and I’m known for being approachable and friendly. My sessions cover everything from grammar and pronunciation to reading and writing, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience tailored to your needs.

I believe that learning a language is about more than just words and grammar—it’s about understanding cultural nuances and the finer details of communication. Above all, learning should be enjoyable!
